As the official satellite radio partner of the GRAMMYs, we did hundreds of hours of broadcasting from various Recording Academy events.  This is the first hour of a live broadcast from Los Angeles leading up to the Academy's news conference during which they announced their plans for the milestone 50th Annual GRAMMY awards.

The 2008 Presidential election became very special at XM.  CEO Hugh Panero had the idea to launch a channel devoted to covering the election and nothing but the election.  He asked me to create the channel and named it POTUS (after the wire code for the President othe United States).  Before we launched the live channel this "barker" ran on the channel.

I worked at WOR-AM in the late 80's.  It was a great time.  While the use of natural sound and conversational delivery is the norm today - it was not in 1987.  I had two great bosses who hired me and backed me in one of the most conservative sounding markets in the county.

This is a sample of what The Morning Briefing show on XM Satellite Radio's POTUS 08 channel sounded like.  Sure we had big name guests, we did the news, we were totally serious and respectful about the process - but we didn't take ourselves too seriously and we never ever forgot about the audience - it's work that I'm most proud of.
